Memorial Award
(Rookie of The Year)


David Green

Awarded to the player(s) who best displays effort and ability in his first year of Sting football.

 


Once a Sting, Always a Sting.

 

Justin's family (Murray, Monika, Cody, Quinton, and Keltin) attended our awards banquet to present the Justin Ireland Memorial Award. Justin was a STING in 2004 when he was first diagnosed with Leukemia. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed away in May 2005.

Awarded to the player(s) who contributed a significant amount to the success of the team without gaining much recognition.

Zach French

Awarded to a player who demonstrated the greatest amount of improvement in skill and play through the year.

Awarded to a player on offense occupying an interior line position. The recipient must have performed at a very high level throughout the year and made a significant contribution to the success of the offensive unit.

Awarded to the player who through tremendous heart and conviction, demonstrated unwavering dedication to Sting Football.

Tony Eikel

Awarded to a player on defense occupying an interior line position. The recipient must have performed at a very high level throughout the year and made a significant contribution to the success of the defensive unit.

Gord Reinich Award (Student Athlete)

Drew Lamoureux

Awarded to the player who has the highest academic marks and made a significant contribution to the success of the team.
